Gweler y neges isod mae'r Adran Dysgu Gydol Oes wedi ei dderbyn gan Lywodraeth Cymru heddiw/Please note the following message that the Lifelong Learning Department has received from the Welsh Government today.

Dear all,

You will be aware that, following a public consultation, regulations are being introduced concerning the preparation and maintenance of school development plans. The new regulations came into force on 27 October and, by 1 September 2015 all maintained schools are required to have in place a school development plan (SDP) that complies with the new regulations.

The School Development Plan (SDP) is the school’s single strategic plan for improvement. Based on robust self-evaluation it will set out the actions a school will take to improve learner outcomes in the short and long term. As well as providing a focus for the school as it improves its provision it will also inform the challenge and support provided by regional consortia.

The SDP will be a rolling three-year plan, approved by the governing body, that sets out how the school will achieve its targets in relation to its priorities and how it will use the resources it has available.  It will also show how the school intends to develop its staff in order to meet the school’s priorities and targets and will therefore take account of the school’s annual cycle of performance management.

For many schools, the introduction of these statutory requirements will represent little or no change where they already have effective arrangements in place.

The regulations and accompanying guidance can be found on the Welsh Government website at http://wales.gov.uk/topics/educationandskills/schoolshome/school-development-plans/

Annwyl bawb,

Byddwch yn ymwybodol bod rheoliadau yn cael eu cyflwyno, yn dilyn ymgynghoriad cyhoeddus, ynghylch paratoi a chynnal cynlluniau datblygu ysgolion. Daeth y rheoliadau newydd i rym ar 27 Hydref ac, erbyn 1 Medi 2015, bydd gofyn i bob ysgol a gynhelir fod â chynllun datblygu sy’n cydymffurfio â’r rheoliadau newydd.

Y Cynllun Datblygu Ysgolion yw cynllun strategol yr ysgol ar gyfer gwella. Mae’n seiliedig ar hunanwerthuso trwyadl, ac yn amlinellu’r camau y bydd ysgol yn eu cymryd i wella canlyniadau dysgwyr yn y tymor byr a’r tymor hir. Yn ogystal â rhoi ffocws i’r ysgol wrth iddi wella ei darpariaeth, bydd hefyd yn llywio’r her a’r cymorth a ddarperir gan y consortia rhanbarthol.

Bydd y Cynllun Datblygu yn gynllun treigl tair blynedd, a gymeradwyir gan y corff llywodraethu, sy’n amlinellu sut bydd yr ysgol yn cyrraedd ei dargedau mewn perthynas â’i blaenoriaethau a sut y bydd yn defnyddio’r adnoddau sydd ar gael iddi. Bydd hefyd yn dangos sut mae’r ysgol yn bwriadu datblygu ei staff er mwyn cyflawni blaenoriaethau’r ysgol a chyrraedd ei thargedau, a bydd felly yn rhoi ystyriaeth i gylch blynyddol yr ysgol o reoli perfformiad.

I lawer o ysgolion, os oes ganddynt drefniadau effeithiol ar waith, ychydig fydd yn gorfod newid yn sgil y gofynion statudol hyn, os o gwbl.
