Mae Amgueddfa Llangollen yn paratoi ar gyfer arddangosfa cyffroes newydd, i wneud a dau safle etifeddiaethol unigryw, Abaty Glyn y Groes a Philer Eliseg, a fydd yn agor yn Mis Mehefin. Fydd yr Amgueddfa yn cael eitemau, wedi eu darganfod yn yr Abaty, ar fenthyg o Amgueddfa Genedlaethol Cymru ac hefyd yn arddangos arteffactau wedi eu darganfod yn ystod cloddiadau diweddar wrth Piler Eliseg. Gyda grant oddiwrth Cronfa Loteri Etifeddiaethol a Cymal, fyddem yn creu brasfodel.o Gabidyldy yr Abaty, yn yr Amgueddfa, a defnyddio adnoddau clyweled rhyngweithio i ddweud wrth y bobl am hanes y ddau safle hudol yma.

Hefyd, fyddem yn mynd i ysgolion a chael partioedd o'r ysgolion i ymweld a'r amgueddfa i ddarganfod fwy am y cyfnod hanesyddol hon, drwy ddefnyddio tafleni gwaith a phaciau gwybodaeth i archwilio materion hanesyddol a syn orchuddiedig yn y Cwricwlwm Genedlaethol.

LlangollenMuseum is preparing for an exciting new display about two unique heritage sites, Valle Crucis Abbey and Eliseg’s Pillar, that will open in June of this year. We will be getting items found at the Abbey on loan from the National Museum of Wales and also displaying artefacts found in the recent excavations at Eliseg’s Pillar. With a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund and CyMAL we will be creating a mock up of the Abbey Chapter House in the Museum and using interactive audio visual displays to tell people about the history of these two fascinating sites.

We will also be going into schools and getting school parties to visit the museum to find out more about this period of history, using worksheets and information packs to explore historical issues covered by the National Curriculum.
